What it says
- Why will your first customer pay before you're ready?
- Because they aren't buying your readiness. They're buying their problem gone. A torn shirt doesn't wait for a shop.
- The tailor in Lagos fixed the neighbour's shirt on his mother's table. The neighbour paid. That was the company.
- Readiness comes from the customer, not before them. The shop, the logo, the website: they came later.
- Who's the one person who'd pay you today?
03). The Lagos street from Ep. 01 and 02. The tailor sits at his mother's table on the veranda with a hand-crank machine; the neighbour walks up with a torn shirt. Above the veranda a ghost of a shop, a logo and a website hover, faint, waiting to be "ready"; the torn shirt does not wait. The tailor sews the shirt on the table, the neighbour slaps notes down, and the ghost shop turns solid, one piece at a time, later.
