What it says
- Why are you charging too little for the thing you're best at?
- Because you priced your fear, not their problem. The cheapest stall gets the most complaints and the least respect.
- The fish seller who doubled her price sold out first. The price told people it was the good fish.
- So price the problem you remove, not the hours you spend. Then say the number without apologising.
- What should you be charging double for?
04). A fish market at dawn on the Lagos waterfront. Two stalls: on the left a seller with a small hand-written price and a queue of complaints (red speech cubes); on the right a woman who doubles her price on a bold board. The crowd drifts to her; her fish run out first; SOLD OUT goes up. She says the number without apologising.
