What it says
- Why does your AI say sorry and do the exact same thing?
- Sorry is the likeliest reply. It is not a repair.
- The apology is perfect. The tyre is still flat.
- So skip the complaint. Put the rule at the top. 'From now on: no bullet points.'
- A complaint is a feeling. A rule is something it can follow.
- What keeps coming back for you?
22). A bicycle repair shop. You wheel in a flat tyre; the mechanic (the machine) bows, apologises beautifully, spikes a ticket and hands the same flat tyre back. The fix, by the middle: stop complaining and clip the rule to the handlebars, "FROM NOW ON: NO BULLET POINTS", and the tyre comes back round. The why: a complaint is a feeling, a rule is something it can follow.
